For GM / General Motors. The main bearing caps are set deep into the block skirt on in-line engines, and removal can be difficult. EN-48268 fits over the casting wings on the bearing cap, and is used with J-6125-1B Slide Hammer to remove the bearing caps for service. Unapproved methods can damage the cap, block, rail, or crank journal.
