Kent-Moore DT-51592 Front Output Seal Installer
The front output shaft on 15MY 31xxN NQ6/NQ7 transfer cases is a male-spine design with the addition of a front output flange. The output shaft seal is press fit to both the front output shaft OD and the case housing ID, while also maintaining the flush alignment between the inner and outer parts of the 2-piece cassette-style seal.
The seal function and life will be impacted if improperly installed. The ID bore of DT-51592 pilots over the front output shaft splines to ensure proper alignment of the seal into the bore while installing the two piece seal to shaft and case bore at same time. Unapproved methods will not properly install the seal, and will result in leaks.
