For GM / General Motors. The intermediate driveshaft seal is installed to a specific, critical depth in the transfer case input gear assembly, and is seated into this designed position using DT-48078 and J-8092 Driver Handle. If the seal is incorrectly positioned, transmission fluid can contaminate the PTU fluid.
