Kent-Moore DT-48056 Spring Compressor Bridge
The Kent-Moore DT-48056 Spring Compressor Bridge is a specialty tool designed for use with GM vehicles with the 2-Mode Hybrid Transmission, Malibu, and XTS models.
It is used in conjunction with the J-46632 tool for front-wheel drive vehicles from 2007 to 2016 with the 6T70 transaxle. The DT-48056 tool functions by spanning across the transmission case and allowing for adjustable positions to be set and tightened over the centerlines of the piston bores.
The tool's forcing screw is used to push on the appropriate spring compressing tool, which in turn pushes down on the spring to release tension and enable the removal and installation of retaining rings.
