This adapter is fitted on all new Knorr-Bremse calipers as an OEM part of the caliper¸ and is also supplied as part of the OEM service kit¸ along with the dust cover which fits over the caliper adjuster. It is designed to shear/break-away when used¸ hence the desire for a socket which covers the same application.
